Core FlowA dynamic yoga flow that explores how we use the core throughout our practice. Beginning class with several rounds of sun salutations to warm up, the focus is on how we can bring attention to different parts of the core and how we should use it in all of our asanas (postures), providing both strength and balance. Time is taken to hold poses, giving students an opportunity to feel into the body, and modifications are always provided. Expect to be challenged and see your practice grow. Open to all levels.

Gentle Hatha FlowHatha Yoga is the tradition from which all modern forms of yoga stem, and includes the postures, breathing exercises, and meditation. This class is geared toward beginners, yogis with injuries and limitations, and anyone who just wants a slow and intentional practice. We take our time moving into and out of postures, and typically hold poses longer than other flow classes. Use of props is encouraged! Open to all levels, very suitable for beginners.

Goddess FlowThis class is designed for Women to delve deeper into their bodies and discover how the practice of yoga can support them in a more individualized and profound way. As a system that was designed by men for other men, a strict yoga practice does not always support a woman's practice in the healthiest way. Women are deeply cyclical, and this class will uncover how yoga can be adapted during different phases of the moon, the seasons and women's unique bodily cycles to help you find and listen to the wisdom of your body. We will explore movement and meditation, Yin and Tantric Yoga practices, deep breathing and other ways to move energy and connect with Mumma Earth. Tap into your SHE Power with this unique class! No experience necessary.

Karma ClassA lightly heated flow class, open to all levels. Use your class pass, or pay a donation of $5 which goes to our local charity of the month! See the Beyond the Studio page for charity details.

Kundalini YogaA Kundalini Yoga practice is a place of transformation. The kriyas and meditations are much more specific than a regular flow class. Each class has a set of exercises that generate energy, organize that energy and deliver you to a specific energetic state — particularly one of greater awareness. Also within the practice are built-in moments of stillness where we sit quietly and awaken to our Self, and the powerful breath work within the class will start to strip away the layers that veil our consciousness. Kundalini Yoga will work on strengthening the nervous system, balancing the glandular system, purifying the body, and calming the mind. All levels welcomed.

Relax & RestoreUsing props, you will be guided into postures that are restorative and nourishing for both body and mind, lulling your nervous system into a state of deep relaxation and peace.
Please feel free to bring your own props to make this experience as enjoyable as possible! A blanket is recommended, both for support and warmth in Savasana. You may also wish to bring a cushion or bolster, and eye pillow. All levels welcomed, suitable for beginners. |
Restorative YogaCome relax and restore with us! Restorative yoga is a wonderful healing practice that helps to recover from stress, pain and injuries. It's the perfect antidote to hectic lifestyles and evokes a feeling similar to what we experience after a soothing massage or trip to the spa. The use of lots of props supports the body while opening, stretching and repairing. A wonderfully gentle practice suitable for all levels, including those with injuries or limited mobility. Say yogaaaaaah!

Slow FlowJoin us for an opportunity to slow down and connect. Explore pranayama, sun salutations, and guided meditations as we work towards releasing tension in body and mind. Suitable for all levels.
|
Somatic YogaFocus on connecting with the body in a way that is accessible and refreshing! Learn how your joints prefer to move, recruit what you need, and quiet down the other patterns trying to assert themselves. When we meet our design, our practice evolves and all possibility arises. This is a yoga based practice with a new lens.
Open to all levels of experience. |
Vinyasa FlowVinyasa Flow is an all-levels class with an emphasis on seamless movement from one pose to the next. The transitions are just as important as the poses themselves, and we will focus on using the breath and core to safely move and flow on our mat. Expect to be challenged, body and mind, as we use the flow of the sequence to enter in to a state of moving meditation! Plenty of modifications will be given to suit all levels of experience.
|
Yin YogaYin is the perfect compliment to our busy lifestyles, allowing the body and mind to find a slower pace and the deep inner stillness we each innately crave. Although you may be familiar with the look of many of Yin Yoga poses, we approach them in a very different way. Holding the postures longer, typically from two to five minutes, allows the relaxation response to kick in, and the muscles to release so we can get into the deeper tissues: ligaments, tendons, fascia, and even the bones. Experience a slower, more meditative class and feel a balance of your yin and yang energies. Open to all levels, suitable for beginners and those with limited mobility.
|
Yoga BreakdownBy leaving the ego at the door and keeping an open mind, we will explore the foundations of many of our favourite poses and even those that may seem out of reach. This class includes dynamic warm-ups, core strengthening, and a bit of flow before playfully exploring peak poses and breaking down various techniques. Learn how to form good habits in your practice and build the strength needed to progress to more challenging asanas. Open to all levels of experience.
