SUP Yoga Workshop

Kala Yoga is teaming up with Miriana of Robot Surfer
once again to offer this fun and playful SUP Yoga Workshop!
We’re starting the summer fun early, so get a jump on your Stand-Up Paddle Board skills to take full advantage of the season. Space is very limited, so sign up now! Paddle boards will be provided to all students attending (participants must be able to swim). We’ll be paddling on a lovely private pond just outside of Orangeville, get ready for some fun!

In this special Community Class, we will undertake 108 rounds of the traditional Sun Salutation. Our practice becomes a communal moving meditation, allowing us to go deeper than just the physical aspect of yoga. We will be joined by Jason and Laurin who will provide live music with various world instruments, and led by Miriana through the Sun Salutations and Yoga Nidra to complete the practice. Take your yoga to a new level as we celebrate the longest day of the year and the official start of Summer! Modifications will be given.

Full Body Yin with Massage
with Janice & Laurin
Get a really good deep stretch with two hours of Yin and Restorative Yoga combined! What makes this special? Janice and Laurin will offer:
· Assists to release tight muscles and fascia in the Yin portion
· Soothing massage to relieve tension and stress in the Restorative poses
· Aromatherapy and essential oils throughout (optional)
There will be ample time to set up and tailor each pose for every individual, so all levels are welcome, and this class is also suitable for those with injuries. So bring a friend for two hours of relaxation – just like a mini-spa!

Mastering Your Stress
with Jason Maraschiello
In a world full of stress we can either try to avoid it or change the way we interact with it; Join Jason for a two hour workshop that will change the way you look at stress!
You will be given some seemingly simple exercises, that when practiced will actually rewire the way your brain functions during stressful situations. You will walk away with new tools for handling everyday stress, but more importantly, a new perspective.

Kirtan is a call-and-response form of music, traditionally sung in Sanskrit. The music and singing become a form of meditation as all voices join together to become One Voice. Join us for a night of music and rhythm as we connect to Spirit and ourselves.

Mala Making Workshop with Laurin
Mala beads have been used for centuries to aid in meditation and to carry intention. In this workshop you will create your own by setting a personal intention, mantra, or affirmation, and then choosing beads and crystals that support it!
Laurin will guide you through the process of making your own Mala, and show you how to use it in your meditation practice. All materials will be provided, and you will leave with your own unique Mala that you can wear and use.

Yoga for Men

Are you a dude interested in Yoga? Do you have a brother, father, partner or friend who secretly wants to know what this yoga thing is all about ~ but who doesn’t want to be surrounded by women or a room full of experienced yogis? Well, this workshop is for them!
Join Jason for this laid back workshop to show that yoga can truly be for anyone and any body! Get an introduction to yoga terms, basic poses and the Sun Salutations, all in one evening.

In this essential workshop, Miriana & Laurin will help you break down the foundational elements of your practice. Re-visit the poses of the Sun Salutations, traditional standing poses such as the Warriors and Triangle, and perfect your Downward Dog and Chaturanga!
This Asana Lab is open to all levels of experience, and is
recommended to anyone looking to strengthen and explore their practice, and improve their understanding of alignment.
